Cop­per Prices Slip on the Ris­ing Dol­lar

Cop­per slipped due to rise in the dol­lar and as in­vestors locked in gains af­ter a rally above $6,000 a tonne was driven by the prospect of ma­jor sup­ply dis­rup­tions in Chile and In­done­sia. Three­month cop­per on the LME slipped by 0.3% to $6,049.50 a tonne by 1041 GMT.
