FIPB Clears 15 In­vest­ment Pro­pos­als worth 12,200 cr

New Delhi: The For­eign In­vest­ment Pro­mo­tion Board (FIPB) has cleared 15 in­vest­ment pro­pos­als worth ₹ 12,200 crore, in­clud­ing those of Apollo Hospi­tals, Hin­dus­tan Aero­nau­tics, Dr Reddy’s and Voda­fone.

Six pro­pos­als, in­clud­ing that of Gland Pharma, with the pro­posed FDI in­flow of ₹ 8,800 crore, were de­ferred for fur­ther con­sul­ta­tion.

Twin­star Tech­nolo­gies’ pro­posal was the big­gest at ₹ 9,000 crore. The Apollo Hospi­tals pro­posal is worth ₹ 750 crore while state-run Hin­dus- tan Aero­nau­tics will get ₹ 170 crore. The gov­ern­ment had in the bud­get for 2017-18 an­nounced its de­ci­sion to wind up the FIPB to im­prove ease of do­ing busi­ness.
