Kwid Crosses 1.30 lakh in Sales, says Re­nault

French car ma­jor Re­nault has clocked sales of over 1.30 lakh units of its highly pop­u­lar com­pact hatch­back ‘KWID’ since its launch in 2014, lead­ing to a three digit rise in its mar­ket share in 2016. “KWID has been a true game changer and vol­ume driver for Re­nault In­dia with more than 1.30 lakh cars sold so far”, the com­pany said in a state­ment on Tues­day. Re­nault, which in­tro­duced KWID with a 0.8 litre engine in Septem­ber 2014, ex­panded the vari­ants, in­clud­ing one litre MT (man­ual trans­mis­sion) and an Easy R-AMT (au­to­matic vari­ant).
