SBI Probing Reports of Fake .₹ 2,000 Notes at ATMs
State Bank of India said it is investigating into the reports that fake notes of .₹ 2,000 were being dispensed from its Sangam Vihar ATM in Delhi while adding that it "suspects involvement of some miscreant and mischievous intent", reports Our Bureau. In a statement issued to media, the bank has said that the bank is examining the notes in all other ATMs handled by the same custodians of the bank and replenished by the same cash replenishment agency. The ATM, which dispensed fake .₹ 2000 notes that stated Children's Bank of India, has been sealed by Delhi Police for further investigation. The bank said that the DVSS footage obtained from the ATM has been handed over to the police authorities.
