Oil Slips Nearly 1% on Ris­ing US Out­put Worries

Oil prices fell about 1% on Fri­day as worries about ris­ing US sup­plies out­weighed Opec pledges to boost com­pli­ance with out­put curbs. Brent crude oil LCOc1 set­tled down 59 cents, or 1.04%, at $55.99 a bar­rel, while US West Texas In­ter­me­di­ate CLc1 ended the ses­sion 46 cents lower at $53.99 a bar­rel.
