CPSEs’ Losses Rise to .₹ 28,756 cr in 2015-16

Losses in­curred by cen­tral pub­lic sec­tor en­ter­prises (CPSEs) have in­creased to .₹ 28,756 crore dur­ing 2015-16 against .₹ 27,498 crore in the pre­vi­ous fis­cal, Par­lia­ment was in­formed on Wed­nes­day. In 2013-14, the ailing CPSEs recorded a loss of .₹ 21,341 crore, min­is­ter of state in the min­istry of heavy in­dus­tries and pub­lic en­ter­prises Babul Supriyo said in a writ­ten re­ply to the Ra­jya Sabha. “The con­cerned ad­min­is­tra­tive min­istries/ de­part­ments for­mu­late re­vival/ re­struc­tur­ing plans for sick and loss-mak­ing CPSEs on a case-to-case ba­sis and af­ter ob­tain­ing the ap­proval of com­pe­tent author­ity for im­ple­ment­ing the plan,” he said.
