Tata Steel Beats Rev­enue, Profit Ex­pec­ta­tions in June Quar­ter

Tata Steel ex­ceeded street ex­pec­ta­tions on all pa­ram­e­ters of op­er­at­ing ef­fi­ciency in the June quar­ter. At .₹ 31,129 crore, con­sol­i­dated rev­enues beat ex­pec­ta­tions by 9 per­cent­age points, and rose 23% on year, while EBIDTA, or op­er­at­ing profit, was 50% higher at .₹ 4,939 crore, com­pared with ex­pec­ta­tions of 16% growth. The com­pany re­ported a con­sol­i­dated net profit of .₹ 1,550 crore.
