New Delhi: In a safety scare at the Delhi air­port, an Ethiopian air­line air­craft hit a parked Air In­dia plane early in the morn­ing on Wed­nes­day. The in­ci­dent hap­pened when the Ethiopian Air­lines air­craft pushed back to take off for its des­ti­na­tion. “Around 2 am, the Ethiopian plane push backed. Dur­ing the push­back, the right wing of the Ethiopian air­craft hit the left wing of Air In­dia air­craft, caus­ing dam­ages to both,” said an Air In­dia of­fi­cial. to the mat­ter. Ethiopian flight ET 687 was bound to Ad­dis Ababa and sched­uled to de­part at 2.20 am. Due to col­li­sion of the wings, flight ET- 687 was can­celled and 196 pas­sen­gers were de-boarded, sources said.
