Adani Power Net Loss Wi­dens 95%

Adani Power on Thurs­day said its con­sol­i­dated net loss ex­panded 95% to .₹ 453.9 crore for the first quar­ter ended June, due to higher fuel costs. The com­pany had posted a con­sol­i­dated net loss of .₹ 232.6 crore in the quar­ter ended on June 30, 2016, Adani Power said. Its con­sol­i­dated EBITA (earn­ing) for the quar­ter fell by 7.9% to .₹ 1,618 crore from .₹ 1,756 crore in April-June quar­ter of 2016-17, mainly due to higher fuel costs on ac­count of in­crease in coal prices.
