Pana­sonic Plans to Spend ₹ 200cr on Phone Pro­mo­tion

Ja­panese tech ma­jor Pana­sonic will pump in about ₹ 200 crore this year to­wards mar­ket­ing and pro­mo­tion of its smart­phones as it revs up com­pe­ti­tion with the likes of Sam­sung, Xiaomi and Len­ovo in the boom­ing In­dian mar­ket. Pana­sonic plans to launch as many as 28 de­vices this year in the ₹ 6,00020,000 price bracket. “We will spend ₹ 200 crore this year to­wards var­i­ous ac­tiv­i­ties to pro­mote our smart­phone range. The ini­tia­tives will span across TV, print and other me­dia,” Pana­sonic In­dia busi­ness head, mo­bil­ity di­vi­sion, Pankaj Rana said.
