Sudhir Pai Joins ABI Health
New Delhi: Sudhir Pai, the former chief executive of Multiples Alternative Asset Management-backed Vikram Hospital, has quit the company to join Bengaluru-based healthcare services startup ABI Health as the strategic and business head of its data sciences and machine learning initiatives.
Pai, who came on board earlier this month, joins former Yahoo and Intuit India executive Ranga Shetty, who joined the Norwest Venture Partners-backed ABI Health as its technology head about four months ago.
Shetty will play a leading role in building and developing the startup’s deep learning team, according to Ajit Veerappan, founder, ABI Health. Bengaluru-based health exchange and image management cloud software provider also operates in the US and Peru, and has its own imaging suite, called Spectra, which connects all stakeholders — doctors, hospitals and patients.
“He has run multiple successful ventures in clinical research, pharmaceuticals and hospitals. In terms of data sciences for us, Sudhir’s deep domain knowledge will help provide us more value proposition to our target audiences,” Veerappan told ET.
“This is a logical step forward for me after stints in pharma, clinical research and hospital. I can put the hands-on experience I have gained in the industry to great use at ABI in delivering efficient systems into the healthcare industry, resulting in better patient outcomes,” Pai said in a statement.
