Prefer AI Arm is not Privatised: Gadkari
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Sunday said he would prefer Air India Engineering Services and its MRO in Nagpur not to be privatised along with Air India, reports
His statement assumes significance as he is a key-member of the group of ministers tasked to decide on the process of privatising Air India. The five-member ministerial panel headed by finance minister Arun Jaitley include Nitin Gadkari, Suresh Prabhu, Piyush Goyal and Ashok Gajapathi Raju. Gadkari said this in Nagpur, where Air India’s wholly owned subsidiary inducted the first aircraft from a private airline (SpiceJet) for major maintenance.
