Pre­fer AI Arm is not Pri­va­tised: Gad­kari

Union Min­is­ter Nitin Gad­kari on Sun­day said he would pre­fer Air In­dia En­gi­neer­ing Ser­vices and its MRO in Nag­pur not to be pri­va­tised along with Air In­dia, re­ports

His state­ment as­sumes sig­nif­i­cance as he is a key-mem­ber of the group of min­is­ters tasked to de­cide on the process of pri­vatis­ing Air In­dia. The five-mem­ber min­is­te­rial panel headed by fi­nance min­is­ter Arun Jait­ley in­clude Nitin Gad­kari, Suresh Prabhu, Piyush Goyal and Ashok Ga­jap­athi Raju. Gad­kari said this in Nag­pur, where Air In­dia’s wholly owned sub­sidiary in­ducted the first air­craft from a pri­vate air­line (SpiceJet) for ma­jor main­te­nance.
