NEW DELHI: Former finance minister P Chidambaram has questioned the ‘rationale’ of the Central Bureau of Investigation in questioning his son Karti in connection with the Aircel-Maxis deal. He said CBI should rather question him since it was he who approved “the minutes” for the deal as “recommended” by the Foreign Investment Promotion Board. “In Aircel-Maxis, FIPB recommended and I approved minutes. CBI should question me and not harass Karti Chidambaram,” Chidambaram said in a tweet. He also alleged that the CBI was spreading misinformation about the issue.
