New Delhi: The Centre will soon have to fill up at least four important vacancies at national broadcaster Prasar Bharati with the tenure of twoof itsmembershavingcomingto an end and two ending soon. The tenure of A Surya Prakash who spearheaded the organisation for the last three years as the chairman ended on Saturday. Two part time board members Anup Jalota and Muzaffar Ali will finish their tenure next month. Apart from that, there is already an existing vacancy of ShashiShekharwhowasappointed as the CEO of Prasar Bharati in June. Another vacancy is of SC Panda was formerly member (personnel) of Prasar Bharati who retired in February this year.
Prasar Bharati, in the last six monthshasalreadyadvertisedtwice to find a professional to handle personnel matters of its over 30,000 strength but has not been able to get the right candidate, officials said.
