Prashant Kishor Becomes a Neta, Joins JDU

The Economic Times - - Pure Politics -

New Delhi: Prashant Kishor, the strategist, sat to the right of a jubilant Nitish Kumar on November 8, 2015, when BJP was trounced by the Grand Alliance in Bihar. On Sunday, Kishor again sat right next to Kumar at a party meeting, this time as a politician and a party member. While Kumar’s comment on Kishor being “the future” is being interpreted in many ways including the possibility of him being Kumar’s successor, there is little doubt that the ace strategist-turnedNeta will be Kumar’s proverbial “right hand man” for the 2019 elections and the timetocome.RCPSinghhasbeenKumar’s most seasoned backer but Kumar’s rocksolid trust on Kishor comes from the fact that Kishor came to his aid in 2015.

Kishor’s induction into JDU is expected to bolster Kumar’s stance – both in dealing with BJP as well as in taking on the RJD. Kumar is widely seen as the brain behind JDU’s public declaration on June 4 that Kumar should be the face of the alliance in Bihar in 2019.
