Claris pro­mot­ers trans­fer en­tire stake to 2 cos

Mum­bai, Dec 30: The pro­mot­ers of generic in­jecta­bles maker Claris Life­sciences, on Mon­day, trans­ferred their en­tire 60.21% stake in the com­pany to two com­pa­nies — in which Claris CEO Ar­jun Handa and di­rec­tor Aditya Handa hold the ma­jor­ity stake.

The buy­ers are Athanas En­ter­prise and Abel­lon Ener- gy, ac­cord­ing to stock ex­change block deal data.

Ar­jun holds 99.9% of Athanas to­tal share cap­i­tal while Aditya holds, di­rectly and in­di­rectly, a stake of 88.15% in Abel­lon En­ergy, ac­cord­ing to a BSE fil­ing dated De­cem­ber 20.

The four pro­mot­ers of the Ahmed­abad-based com­pany are the Handa brothers, Med­i­cal Tech­nolo­gies and Sar­jan Fi­nan­cial.

The trans­fer of the 60.21% stake con­sisted of about 3.8 crore shares for a to­tal con­sid­er­a­tion of R801 crore, with 2.8 crores priced at R204.7 each and the re­main­ing at R219.1 apiece.

Claris’ shares rose as much as 15.4% to R229 be­fore clos­ing down 2.09% at R194.30 on the Bom­bay Stock Ex­change on Mon­day.
