SpiceJet registers highest PLF in June

New Delhi, July 27: Domestic airlines carried 7.97 million passengers in the month of June, recording an over 20% growth in passengers carried compared with the correspond­ing month last year, with SpiceJet recording the highest passenger load factor (PLF) among all Indian carriers, clocking 93% PLF for the month. Passengers carried by domestic airlines for the January- June period witnessed a growth of 22.5% and stood at 47.57 million, as compared with the correspond­ing period last year.

IndiGo continued to dominate with a market share of 37.9%,followedby­Jetairways (16.3%), Air India (15.5%), SpiceJet (12.7%), GoAir (8.3%) and Vistara (2.8%).

SpiceJet continued to record the highest PLF for 14 months straight, which stood at 93%, followed by AirAsia India (90.2%), GoAir (84.6%), Air India (82%), Air Pegasus (82.2%) and TruJet (81%). IndiGo, Jet Airways and Vistara recorded PLFs of less than 80% for June, with IndiGo witnessing its PLF dropping by 10.66% compared with May.
