Improve voting facility

-

Voting is a fundamental right of every citizen in India but the fact that people on polling duty are unable to exercise their franchise is a matter of shame and should act as an eye-opener. A friend who is a teacher in a BMC school has polling duty on election day and for several years now has not been able to cast vote. Similar is the case with the police force that has to be on duty round the clock during elections. Thousands of people are involved in the polling process and their votes go waste as they are not able to exercise this basic fundamental right. Postal ballots is for them is an available choice but the procedure is cumbersome and most people don't get into the hassle of running from pillar to post to make their votes count. Electoral reforms for people on polling duty must be looked into. They should be allowed to cast their votes in their ward or at any designated office after polling hours. We are living in the technological age and it must be utilised well.
