FARMER SETS PRODUCE ON FIRE OVER PRICE
NEEMUCH (MP): A farmer allegedly set his produce afire at the state's biggest herbal market here on Tuesday after he did not get the desired price for it, police said. Suresh Dhakad of Dhamnar area brought his basil (tulsi) stalks to sell it in the mandi (market). He offered a minimum price of Rs 490 for a quintal of Basil stalks, a senior police official said. However, disappointed over not finding any buyer for his crop at the price which he had quoted, he set ablaze the produce, the officer added.
