Man crushed under truck; driver arrested

A BMC contract labourer got crushed under the rear wheel of a truck in Malad west on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Shankar R Murgan (40). The police said Murgan was the resident of Ramchandra Lane in Malad (west). “Murugan was walking on side of Veer Abdul Hamid Marg road when he got dragged by the truck for few metres, came under the its rear wheel and got crushed,” an eye-witness said. The Malwani police have arrested the truck driver Ganesh Kadam (40).
