BHEL inks tech collaborat­ion with HLB Power, Republic of Korea

State-run Bharat Heavy Electrical­s Limited (BHEL) has entered into a technology collaborat­ion agreement (TCA) with HLB Power, Republic of Korea. This will allow BHEL to have in-house design and manufactur­e of large size gates and dampers for use in coal-fired power plants, to be commission­ed or retrofitte­d with high-ca- pacity emission control equipment.

For over three decades, BHEL has been supplying convention­al gates and dampers manufactur­ed at its Boiler Auxiliarie­s Plant, Ranipet. This agreement was signed in presence of Atul Sobti, CMD, BHEL, the TCA was signed by Subrata Biswas, director (E, R&D) BHEL and Jong Weon Kim, CEO and Director, HLB Power in a function at BHEL’s Corporate Office.
