BHEL inks tech collaboration with HLB Power, Republic of Korea
State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has entered into a technology collaboration agreement (TCA) with HLB Power, Republic of Korea. This will allow BHEL to have in-house design and manufacture of large size gates and dampers for use in coal-fired power plants, to be commissioned or retrofitted with high-ca- pacity emission control equipment.
For over three decades, BHEL has been supplying conventional gates and dampers manufactured at its Boiler Auxiliaries Plant, Ranipet. This agreement was signed in presence of Atul Sobti, CMD, BHEL, the TCA was signed by Subrata Biswas, director (E, R&D) BHEL and Jong Weon Kim, CEO and Director, HLB Power in a function at BHEL’s Corporate Office.
