Mira Bhayan­dar’s art fest will this time wit­ness an as­sem­blage of renowned artistes

BHAYAN­DAR: In an at­tempt to pro­vide a plat­form to the young bud­ding artists in the field of arts, mu­sic, dance and fu­sion, the Pratap Sar­naik Foun­da­tion has or­gan­ised a grand Mira Bhayan­dar Fes­ti­val in the twincity. Start­ing off from April 20 at the Late Balasa­heb Thack­eray Grounds in the In­dralok area of Bhayan­dar (east) is a four-day event held under the aegis of the San­skruti Yuva Pratishthan led by Yuva Sena leader, Purvesh Sar­naik who has been or­gains­ing sim­i­lar events in Thane for the last four years. While renowned artists in­clud­ing, leg­endary singer Os­man Mir, con­tem­po­rary folk mu­sic artist Mame Khan, play­back singers Roop­ku­mar Rathod and Kailash Kher, will per­form live at the venue, the event will en­com­pass art ex­hi­bi­tion, en­ter­tain­ment for chil­dren, food stalls, shop­ping arena amongst other art re­lated ac­tiv­i­ties. “Wit­ness­ing the pres­ence of lakhs of mu­sic and art lovers, our ear­lier sea­sons of the fes­ti­val in Thane has a global out­reach, prompt­ing us to hold such event here so that peo­ple of the twin-city and bud­ding artists get an op­por­tu­nity to ex­pe­ri­ence the mys­ti­fy­ing per­for­mance and show­case their tal­ent. I am con­fi­dent that the fes­ti­val alike Thane will cre­ate a niche for it­self in the cul­tural cal­en­dar of the city,” said Purvesh Sar­naik.
