Mira Bhayandar’s art fest will this time witness an assemblage of renowned artistes

BHAYANDAR: In an attempt to provide a platform to the young budding artists in the field of arts, music, dance and fusion, the Pratap Sarnaik Foundation has organised a grand Mira Bhayandar Festival in the twincity. Starting off from April 20 at the Late Balasaheb Thackeray Grounds in the Indralok area of Bhayandar (east) is a four-day event held under the aegis of the Sanskruti Yuva Pratishtha­n led by Yuva Sena leader, Purvesh Sarnaik who has been orgainsing similar events in Thane for the last four years. While renowned artists including, legendary singer Osman Mir, contempora­ry folk music artist Mame Khan, playback singers Roopkumar Rathod and Kailash Kher, will perform live at the venue, the event will encompass art exhibition, entertainm­ent for children, food stalls, shopping arena amongst other art related activities. “Witnessing the presence of lakhs of music and art lovers, our earlier seasons of the festival in Thane has a global outreach, prompting us to hold such event here so that people of the twin-city and budding artists get an opportunit­y to experience the mystifying performanc­e and showcase their talent. I am confident that the festival alike Thane will create a niche for itself in the cultural calendar of the city,” said Purvesh Sarnaik.
