Safety and punctuality meeting held in NCR

A safety and punctuality meeting was held in the Office of GM/NCR in the Vindhya Conference Hall, chaired by GM/NCR M C Chauhan. The meeting began with GM advising that proper protection of running lines near worksites should be ensured by all the agencies executing such works. He instructed that a drive on ‘protection of worksites near running tracks’ to be launched over NCR with a view to ensure that no unsafe practices are resorted to by agencies executing works near railway tracks. GM also advised that in view of the recent fire at a catering stall at Allahabad Station, a drive to be launched over NCR to ensure that all arrangements for prevention of fire are in place in catering stalls at stations of NCR-in particular proper earthing of the electrical connections.
