No shortage of funds for tribal welfare: Guv
THANE: Maharashtra Governor Vidyasagar Rao Saturday emphasised on speeding up work on projects meant for the welfare of tribals in the state. He said there was no dearth of funds for the various programmes launched by the state government for tribals.
The governor was speaking at a function at Sahapur here in Thane district organisedby the South Indian Education Society (SIES). Rao, who hails from Telangana and was appointed governor in August 2014, spoke in Marathi at the event where the audience largely comprised people were south India.
