21 dead in 3 blasts at poll ral­lies, wed­ding

KABUL: A mo­tor­cy­cle rigged with ex­plo­sives det­o­nated at an elec­tion rally in north­east­ern Afghanistan on Satur­day killing at least 14 peo­ple, in­clud­ing civil­ians and se­cu­rity forces, of­fi­cials said. Takhar prov­ince po­lice spokesman said 32 oth­ers were wounded when the ex­plo­sives-laden mo­tor­bike parked near the rally in Rus­taq district ex­ploded. At least two peo­ple, in­clud­ing a child, were killed and two oth­ers were in­jured in an­other blast at a Herat elec­tion rally. In the third blast, at least five civil­ians were killed in a bomb blast at a wed­ding party in Logar prov­ince.
