BBBBBis likely to is­sue a no­ti­fi­ca­tion to­day on ex­tend­ing the dead­line for manda­tory link­ing of Aadhaar. On Thurs­day, the Cen­tre told the Supreme Court that it is will­ing to ex­tend the dead­line from De­cem­ber 31, 2017 to March 31, 2018. This ex­ten­sion will cover 139 ser­vices in­clud­ing the link­ing of Aadhaar with bank ac­counts.

Se­cu­rity Coun­cil will meet to­day fol­low­ing US Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump’s de­ci­sion to recog­nise Jerusalem as Is­rael’s cap­i­tal. At least eight of 15 UNSC mem­ber coun­tries asked for the spe­cial meet­ing where UN Sec­re­tary Gen­eral An­to­nio Guter­res will ad­dress the Coun­cil.

Land Pool­ing policy is likely to be ap­proved to­day. Un­der the policy, around 22,000 hectares of land will be pooled that is likely to ben­e­fit nearly 95 lakh peo­ple. In the pre­vi­ous meet­ing on Oct 13, Delhi Lt and Union Ur­ban De­vel­op­ment Min­is­ter de­cided to limit the role of DDA to be­ing a fa­cil­i­ta­tor and plan­ner only.
