11,645 buses to be op­er­ated for Deep­avali

In view of the Deep­avali fes­ti­val on Oc­to­ber 18, the Tamil Nadu State Trans­port Cor­po­ra­tion, the State Ex­press Trans­port Cor­po­ra­tion and pri­vate op­er­a­tors will be op­er­at­ing ex­tra buses from Chen­nai.

The State gov­ern­ment has de­cided to op­er­ate ser­vices from four ter­mi­nuses apart from the Chen­nai Mo­fussil Bus Ter­mi­nus for three days from 15 to 17.

As many as 11,645 buses are to be op­er­ated from Chen­nai, a press re­lease from the po­lice com­mis­sioner’s of­fice said.

All buses bound for Andhra Pradesh will be op­er­ated from the Anna Na­gar West bus stand while buses bound for Ar­cot, Arani, Vel­lore, Dharma­puri, Kr­ish­na­giri, Tiru­pathur and Ho­sur will be op­er­ated from the Poona­mallee bus stand. From Tam­baram Sana­to­rium, buses to Kum­bakonam and be­yond Tan­jore via Tin­di­vanam will de­part. Buses to Puducherry, Cud­dalore and Chi­dambaram via ECR will be op­er­ated from the Saidapet De­pot.
