With the Congress ask­ing Kapil Sibal to stay away from Gu­jarat fol­low­ing his con­tro­ver­sial state­ment, and with the Sunni Wakf Board too dis­as­so­ci­at­ing it­self from his state­ment, Mr. Sibal has been left in the lurch. It is bet­ter that he acts cau­tiously and de­sists from pleas­ing the Congress high com­mand while fight­ing in court. We need an in­te­gra­tive ap­proach for univer­sal health cov­er­age (“Univer­sal health cov­er­age is the best pre­scrip­tion”, Dec. 7). If schemes like the In­te­grated Child De­vel­op­ment Ser­vices work to­gether with the Swachh Bharat Mis­sion and the Na­tional Health Policy, we may see re­sults. It is not just the state of in­fra­struc­ture in hos­pi­tals but the sur­round­ings too that cause prob­lems. It is
