Probe Jay Shah case af­ter check­ing au­then­tic­ity of al­le­ga­tions: RSS

RE­ACT­ING to con­tro­versy sur­round­ing Amit Shah’s son, Jay Shah, Sah Sarakaryavah of Rashtriya Swayam­se­vak Sangh (RSS) Dat­ta­treya Hos­a­bale said that in­quiry should be con­ducted only af­ter check­ing the au­then­tic­ity of charges lev­elled.

“The onus for prov­ing the charges rests on the one who is mak­ing it,” he said.

Hos­a­bale was in­ter­act­ing with me­di­a­per­sons here on Thurs­day. He is in Bhopal for three-day meet­ing of Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Man­dal of RSS.

He re­fused to com­ment on GST, say­ing that the is­sue was dis­cussed ear­lier.

He said, work plan of Sangh’s next three years would be pre­pared in meet­ing of Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Man­dal. The Karyakari Man­dal is formed for the ten­ure of three years and it is com­plet­ing three years in March 2018. Hence, de­lib­er­a­tion will be held over for­ma­tion of Karyakari Man­dal and it will be given fi­nal shape in Pra­tinidhi Sabha to take place in March 2018. Re­port on on­go­ing works will be also tabled be­sides tak­ing re­view of last six months. Dis­cus­sion on ‘Karyakarta’ train­ing will also take place, he said.

He added that RSS is mak­ing rapid progress and it’s work has in­creased in so­ci­ety. Youths play an im­por­tant role in Sangh’s ex­pan­sion. Through Sangh’s web­site ‘Join RSS’, a large num­ber of youths are join­ing the RSS. As far as join­ing of youths through web­site is con­cerned then in com­par­i­son to 2015, there has been rise of 48 per cent in 2016 and 52 per cent rise in 2017. All th­ese fig­ures are from Jan­uary till June. The age of youths join­ing Sangh is between 20 and 35 years, he said.

Sangh is also con­duct­ing ac­tiv­i­ties like ‘Gram Vikas’, ‘Ku­tumb Pra­bod­han’ and ‘Sa­ma­jik Sam­rasta’. Ow­ing to Sangh’s work, change has been pal­pa­ble in around 450 vil­lages. Sangh also be­lieves that if fam­ily is strong and pros­per­ous then na­tion is strong. In this re­gard, be­fore 15 years, Sangh started Ku­tumb Pra­bod­han in Kar­nataka and now this ex­per­i­ment is be­ing done in en­tire coun­try and its re­sult are pos­i­tive.

He added that in com­par­i­son to last year, Sangh Shakhas have in­creased by around 550. Sangh Shakhas are held ev­ery day at more than 34,000 places, and at 15000 places, “Sap­tahik Mi­lan” pro­gramme are con­ducted. In other words, it is at around 49,993 places where Sangh’s Shakha and Mi­lan pro­gramme are be­ing con­ducted. He told that Sangh’s work has been good in Mad­hya Pradesh.
