Kothale died af­ter he was hit with a heavy tool: Re­port

ANIKET Kothale, the 25-year-old who was al­legedly killed by po­lice­men in cus­tody at San­gli po­lice sta­tion on Novem­ber 6, suc­cumbed to in­juries caused by a heavy tool which led to blood­ing in stom­ach and chest, a med­i­cal re­port said on Satur­day.

On Novem­ber 6, five po­lice­men, in­clud­ing a PSI, two head con­sta­bles, in San­gli po­lice sta­tion al­legedly killed Aniket and later burnt his body at Am­boli ghat. Aniket had been ar­rested as a sus­pected ac­cused in a rob­bery case along with his col­league in false crime. The Kothale fam­ily mem­bers re­ceived his body on Jan­uary 11 af­ter nearly two months of his mur­der, for last rites.

This was cleared in med­i­cal re­port, which sub­mit­ted by Mi­raj Gov­ern­ment Med­i­cal Col­lege to the CID De­part­ment, which has been in­ves­ti­gat­ing the Kothale mur­der case.
