Standing gracefully on a four-season landscape is the Studhorse home designed by Olson Kundig. The client requirement was that of a second home that would act as an adventure home for them and their kids. The home is composed of four buildings, centered on a central courtyard and pool. Each building has an amazing view of the Studhorse Ridge and Pearrygin Lake. The materials used for the home are tough on the outside, in order to withstand the high-desert climate; but the interiors are warm and cosy. Public areas like the family room, kitchen and bar are grouped together in a structure that opens up almost entirely, with sliding glass windows all along the walls.
