Vote for BJP to make state Uttam Pradesh: Amit Shah

BJP PRESIDENT Amit Shah on Wednesday urged the people of Uttar Pradesh to stop switching allegiance between the Samajwadi Party and BSP, and give his party a chance instead, saying his party would make the state ‘Uttam Pradesh’.

“Bees saalo se SP, BSP kar rahe ho aap log. Iss SP, BSP ne Uttar Pradesh ko sabse neeche pahucha dia hai. (For 20 years, you have been choosing between SP and BSP, which have pushed the state to the bottom),” said Shah, adding that UP was still struggling to provide basic amenities, despite an abundance of resources.

Speaking at a rally in Mathura — the birthplace of Jan Sangh ideologue Deendayal Upadhyay —Shah took potshots at CM Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Yadav for “lack of developmen­t” in the state.

“It is high time that voters of UP saved themselves from the goondaism of Samajwadi Party and the corruption of BSP rule. vote for BJP to make UP Uttam Pradesh,” he added.
