Govt sacks 2 IPS officers
New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of Cabinet, headed by PM Narendra Modi, has approved the proposal for compulsorily retirement of two IPS officers — Mayank Sheel Chohan, a 1998 batch officer of AGMUT cadre and Raj Kumar Dewangan, a 1992 batch Chhattisgarh cadre officer— for “non performance”. Dewangan had faced a departmental probe in a 1998 robbery case and Chohanwasaccusedofstaging his own abduction. ENS
