The Louis Vuitton POPUP Store in Sydney
Christmas and festive shopping became just that little more exciting for Sydney’s patrons of luxury. Louis Vuitton opened one of their celebrated pop-up stores in the city in the iconic shopping centre, Westfield Sydney. The pop-up premiered a selection of Louis Vuitton’s Spring-summer 2017 pre-collection, a homage to African inspirations and that much celebrated artistic duo The Chapman brothers.
Specifically designed to embrace the Spring-summer 2017 collection inspirations, the popup was open for a whole month from the 18th of November to the 18th of December.
Louis Vuitton’s Spring-summer 2017 collections have been inspired by Africa combined with the rebellion of London Punk and the emblematic savoir-faire of Louis Vuitton. In a continuation of Kim Jones’ first Louis Vuitton show inspired by Africa, including his childhood in Kenya and Botswana, he explores notions of safari and the gentleman traveller with a complementary natural colour palette.
This is the brand’s second collaboration with The Chapman Brothers, who created the illustrations and animations for Spring-summer 2017, that have been applied to ready-to-wear, accessories and leather goods.
The Amazone bag in Damierebene featuring the Rhino Chapman Brother’s print will be an exclusive to Westfield Sydney.
