BALLY SPRING SUMMER 2018
REPRISING THE STREETS OF THE SEVENTIES & EIGHTIES
Defiance was the defining characteristic of the late seventies and early eighties, albeit tempered with a carefree demeanor, as the flower children of the sixties matured into young adults with attitude. Bally’s Spring Summer 18 in many ways is a throwback to this era of graffiti on stripped walls, rooms with sparse furniture, barbed wire and tough talk.
The women’s collection displays a contrasting mood of sophistication and sport, featuring fabrics juxtaposed in diverse proportions. Chains feature on large accessories and shoes, discreetly playing on the idea of eighties’ style overstated bling. The 1980s Bally logo forming a wallpaper like pattern takes one back to this time of confident self-expression and laid back elegance.
For the men, urban sportswear makes its presence felt through retro sneakers, lightweight cagoules, trousers tucked into socks, zipped tops and canvas totes. Don’t be too particular about pairing. The collection has the fluidity to allow you to take one piece at a time and mix and match as your mood dictates.
