Mid­night Deepa homage at Jaya memo­rial

Chennai: J Deepa, niece of late Chief Min­is­ter J Jay­alalithaa, paid a sur­prise visit to the memo­rial of her aunt on Ma­rina at mid­night on Fri­day and paid homage. She was ac­com­pa­nied by her hus­band Mad­ha­van. Talk­ing to me­di­a­per­sons, Deepa said the present gov­ern­ment headed by Chief Min­is­ter Edap­padi K Palaniswami should not last as it did not have nec­es­sary ma­jor­ity. “This gov­ern­ment is anti-peo­ple and should go and fresh elec­tions should take place,” she added.Stat­ing that she was re­solved to pro­tect the AIADMK, Deepa said since there was no strong lead­er­ship in that party now, a no­tion that BJP had been re­mote con­trol­ling it had oc­curred. She said NEET was not nec­es­sary for Tamil Nadu.
