NIA to broaden scope of Hadiya case probe

Kochi: Na­tional In­ves­ti­ga­tion Agency has de­cided to broaden the scope of in­ves­ti­ga­tion into Hadiya case by prob­ing other sus­pected re­li­gious con­ver­sion in­ci­dents in the state. The NIA con­firmed it ob­tained de­tails of 89 cases reg­is­tered in Ker­ala, in which women were sus­pected to have force­fully con­verted to Is­lam. Th­ese cases in­clude the cases of three women who left for the IS-con­trolled ter­ri­tory in Afghanistan. ENS
