KVB net slumps 40% to G76 crore in Q2

Chennai: Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) re­ported a 40 per cent fall in net profit at H75.65 crore for the quar­ter ended Septem­ber due to in­creased pro­vi­sion­ing for ris­ing bad loans against a net profit of H126.31 crore in the year-ago pe­riod. Its gross non-per­form­ing as­sets were 4.83 per cent of the gross loans as on Septem­ber 30, 2017 against 2.29 per cent in the year-ago pe­riod.
