SCS are second to none in tal­ent, in­tel­lect: Bal­bir

Jammu: Ad­dress­ing a large gath­er­ing of the mem­bers of Sched­uled Caste com­mu­nity and of­fice bear­ers of Jammu Dis­trict BJP Anusu­chit Jaati Mor­cha in a pro­gramme held at Party Head­quar­ter, BJP for­mer State Spokesper­son & presently J&K Sched­uled Castes, Sched­uled Tribes & Back­ward Classes De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion Limited, Vice Chair­per­son, Bal­bir Ram Rat­tan, said that the so­cial and eco­nomic sta­tus of the SCS in the coun­try have im­proved a lot dur­ing the last over three years after tak­ing over of BJP gov­ern­ment at the centre and for­ma­tion of BJP coali­tion in Jammu & Kash­mir.

The pro­gramme was or­gan­ised to con­vey grat­i­tude to the BJP High Com­mand and the Prime Min­is­ter for giv­ing an op­por­tu­nity to Ram­nath Kovind to get elected as the Pres­i­dent of Repub­lic of In­dia.

Bal­bir said that the Naren­dra Modi - led gov­ern­ment has launched a num­ber of wel­fare schemes for the ben­e­fit of the Sched­uled Castes with an ob­jec­tive of their eco­nomic em­pow­er­ment in par­tic­u­lar and the re­sults have been very en­cour­ag­ing. He said the SCS are pro­gress­ing and as­sum­ing very high po­si­tions due to their ca­pa­bil­i­ties and they are second to none in tal­ent and in­tel­lect now. He also shared var­i­ous schemes of the Cor­po­ra­tion meant for SCS, STS, BCS, Mi­nori­ties, Dis­abled Per­sons and Safai Karam­charis. BJP Jammu Dis­trict Pres­i­dent Baldev Singh Billawaria, spoke on the peo­ple- cen­tric, de­vel­op­ment-cen­tric pro­grammes and poli­cies of the gov­ern­ment at the Centre and in the State and their con­cern for the weaker sec­tions, in­clud­ing SCS , STS, BCS.

Dis­trict Gen­eral Sec­re­tary Vi­nay Gupta, on this oc­ca­sion, said that the ca­pa­bil­i­ties among the SCS need to be fur­ther ex­plored and rec­og­nized, which can con­trib­ute in na­tion build­ing. Anusu­chit Jaati Mor­cha Dis­trict Pres­i­dent, Hardesh Khokar, in his ad­dress, said that the elec­tion of Ram­nath Kovind to the high­est post of the coun­try is tes­ti­mony that SCS can scale any heights. Over two dozen SCS also joined the party on this oc­ca­sion.

The pro­ceed­ings of the pro­gramme were con­ducted by Mor­cha Dis­trict Gen­eral Sec­re­tary Manohar Lal. SC Mor­cha lead­ers Faqir Chand, Shiv Lal Manyal, Seema Devi, Jagdish Raj Tu­fani, Gouri Shankar also ad­dressed the gath­er­ing.
