One held with il­licit liquor pouches

SAMBA: Po­lice to­day claimed to have ar­rested a boot­leg­ger and re­cov­ered 39 pouches of il­licit liquor from his pos­ses­sion. The ar­rested per­son has been iden­ti­fied as Ram Mi­lan son of Thakur Din of Mad­hya Pardesh presently re­sid­ing at Suchani near Cen­tral University. Po­lice said that on the tip off, a po­lice party of Vi­jay­pur Po­lice Sta­tion laid down a naka and in­ter­cepted the above said ac­cused per­son. Dur­ing his search, po­lice party re­cov­ered 39 pouches of il­licit liquor from his pos­ses­sion. Po­lice at once ar­rested him un­der case FIR num­ber106/2017 un­der sec­tion 48 (a) Ex­cise Act and seized the re­cov­ered ma­te­rial.

The op­er­a­tion was car­ried by the team of of­fi­cials of Vi­jay­pur Po­lice Sta­tion led by Sta­tion House Of­fi­cer (SHO) In­spec­tor Su­raj patha­nia un­der the su­per­vi­sion of SDPO Vi­jay­pur Ab­hisheik Sharma and un­der the guid­ance and over­all su­per­vi­sion of SSP Samba Anil Mago­tra.
