Pam­pore con­stituency to be de­vel­oped on mod­ern lines: MOS

De­scrib­ing the present era as a golden pe­riod of de­vel­op­ment and pros­per­ity for the J&K State, Min­is­ter of State for For­est, En­vi­ron­ment, An­i­mal & Sheep Hus­bandry, Co­op­er­a­tive and Fish­eries, Mir Za­hoor Ahmad, to­day said that Pam­pore is be­ing de­vel­oped as a model con­stituency. The Min­is­ter said this while ad­dress­ing a large pub­lic gath­er­ing in Sri­na­gar. Re­it­er­at­ing the gov­ern­ment's com­mit­ment to trans­form the so­cioe­co­nomic con­di­tion of the State's peo­ple, Mir said ba­sic ameni­ties like road net­work, ad­e­quate drink­ing wa­ter and power supply, bet­ter ed­u­ca­tional and health fa­cil­i­ties will be pro­vided to peo­ple at their door steps. The Min­is­ter said the cur­rent dis­pen­sa­tion at the helm is mak­ing all pos­si­ble ef­forts for eq­ui­table and sus­tained de­vel­op­ment of all the three re­gions of the State. Re­fer­ring to the de­vel­op­men­tal sce­nario of the Pam­pore Con­stituency, Mir said that all­round de­vel­op­ment of all its ar­eas has been given a fo­cused at­ten­tion dur­ing the last two and a half years. He said huge amounts of funds have been uti­lized on var­i­ous de­vel­op­men­tal works un­der dif­fer­ent sec­tors in the Con­stituency. To tackle con­cerns of drink­ing wa­ter supply in the Con­stituency, the Min­is­ter said con­struc­tion and up­grad­ing of var­i­ous wa­ter supply schemes are apace. On the oc­ca­sion, sev­eral prom­i­nent cit­i­zens of the Con­stituency also ad­dressed the gath­er­ing, ap­pre­ci­at­ing the ef­forts of the gov­ern­ment in de­vel­op­ment of Pam­pore.
