How to make Punjabi Palak Step 1

For making this easy side dish recipe, take a pan and heat mustard oil on a low-medium flame. Saute the onions along with green chillis for 30 seconds. Put the flame to low and add spinach and ginger to it, while the onions change their colour to pink. Stir the ingredients well and cover with a lid. Allow them to cook for a minute or so.

Step 2

Now open the lid and add moong dal and salt (as per your taste) in the same pan and mix well. Add a little water and let it simmer for a minute. Turn off the flame and add curd to the cooked spinach. Mix it properly. Let the curd rest for a few seconds and cover the pan with the lid.
