The stu­dents of Kisht­war Model Higher Sec­ondary Boys School to­day staged a strong protest against ACR Kisht­war Mo­hammed Syed Khan for al­legedly show­ing dis­re­spect over na­tional an­them.

The stu­dents held protest when they ob­served As­sis­tant Com­mis­sioner Rev­enue (ACR) Kisht­war Mo­hammed Syed Khan left the as­sem­bly and en­tered school of­fice to check arrivals when all were in a stand­ing po­si­tion to give re­spect and hon­our over an­them. The stu­dents al­leged that

Rev­enue (ACR) Kisht­war went in the premises of school for check­ing the at­ten­dance of teach­ers at around 10:15 am when he vis­ited there on Thurs­day, but ACR left the as­sem­bly with­out ded­i­cat­ing a minute of stand­ing po­si­tion on the spot and even mis­be­haved with teach­ing staff which cre­ates a scene of panic among stu­dents against of­fi­cer. Af­ter this, the stu­dent over the be­hav­ior of ACR staged a strong protest against him in the premises of school.

Mean­while, SHO Kisht­war along with other se­nior of­fi­cers came on the spot for the pur­pose of con­trol­ling the sit­u­a­tion but could not con­trol it and started mild Lathi charge against stu­dent which cre­ates much panic among stu­dents, how­ever few stu­dents and a teacher iden­ti­fied as San­deep Rathore got in­jured.

Ak­shay Goswami, NSUI leader Kisht­war said, "We are de­mand­ing strict ac­tion against the po­lice of­fi­cers for lath charg­ing against stu­dents and strict ac­tion against this of­fi­cer for dis­re­spect­ing na­tional an­them."

Con­gress leader, Ran­deep Bhan­dari said, "We want an in­quiry against the in­ci­dent and an apol­ogy of ACR for dis­re­spect­ing na­tional an­them. He also con­demned the po­lice ac­tion on stu­dents."

How­ever, ACR, Kisht­war has re­fute the al­le­ga­tions said, "I had no in­ten­tion to dis­re­spect the na­tional an­them, I my­self had hoisted na­tional flag and sang na­tional an­them sev­eral times, but to­day may be due to pres­sure I did not heard the na­tional an­them in morn­ing prayers and un­in­ten­tion­ally I en­tered the of­fice for sur­prised check­ing, but a scene was cre­ated by teach­ers and they even in­sti­gate stu­dents to cre­ate law and or­der prob­lem, de­spite I apol­o­gized to defuse the ten­sion."

How­ever, Deputy Com­mis­sioner, Kisht­war An­grez Singh Rana has ini­ti­ate a probe into the in­ci­dent by ap­point­ing Ad­di­tional Deputy Com­mis­sioner, Kishori Lal as in­quiry head and asked him to sub­mit the re­port within 15 days.
