Com­mu­nity meet­ings, door to door vis­its mark day 4


In its en­deav­our to make con­crete ef­forts to bring about tan­gi­ble re­sults in the de­clin­ing sex ra­tio in the district, BBBP team un­der the guid­ance and su­per­vi­sion of District De­vel­op­ment

Com­mis­sioner, Rajouri to­day or­gan­ised aware­ness pro­grammes, held com­mu­nity meet­ings and con­ducted door to door vis­its at var­i­ous parts of the district.

Oath tak­ing cer­e­monies, plan­ta­tion drives and ral­lies were also or­gan­ised as part of the week long cel­e­bra­tions that started on Oc­to­ber 09.

Sev­eral moth­ers par­ent­ing girl chil­dren were fe­lic­i­tated from dif­fer­ent zones of block Now­shera at SDH Now­shera by health of­fi­cials. Dy CMO Dr Anees dis­trib­uted san­i­tary nap­kins at ANMT school Rajouri.apart from aware­ness camps on im­por­tance of women and girl child, AWWS along­with ASHAS paid door to door vis­its dur­ing the day to aware the vil­lagers about im­por­tance of bal­anced sex ra­­mu­nity meet­ings were also or­gan­ised on im­por­tance of girl child and the par­tic­i­pants there re­solved to make all our ef­forts to com­pli­ment the ef­forts of BBBP team.

Dr. Ab­dul Khabir, District So­cial Wel­fare Of­fi­cer has em­pha­sised on mak­ing con­certed ef­forts by all stake­hold­ers to bal­ance the de­clin­ing sex ra­tio with strict im­ple­men­ta­tion of PCPNDT act and to en­sure that there is no drop-out of girl stu­dents at any stage of ed­u­ca­tion.
