Ambed­kar Na­gar set to get 200 bed­ded hos­pi­tal

DELHI Cabi­net to­day gave green sig­nal for set­ting up of a 200-bed­ded Hos­pi­tal at Ambed­kar Na­gar, Dak­shin Puri. It also gave its nod for for­ma­tion of a new ser­vice "Delhi Health Ser­vices (Den­tal Sur­geon Cadre)". .

While brief­ing the me­dia af­ter the Cabi­net Meet­ing, Dik­shit stated that the city govern­ment would set up a hos­pi­tal at Ambed­kar Na­gar. At least 50per cent beds out of 200 would be ear­marked for ma­ter­nal child health care. The hos­pi­tal would have train­ing fa­cil­ity to train doc­tors and med­i­cal staff in the best prac­tices of ma­ter­nal and pae­di­atric care.

The govern­ment has taken pos­ses­sion of a plot mea­sur­ing 10,000 sq me­ter. It would be con­structed at an es­ti­mated cost of Rs 149 cr within two years af­ter start of work. The hos­pi­tal would cater to the pa­tients from Ambed­kar and nearby lo­cal­i­ties.
