Ambedkar Nagar set to get 200 bedded hospital
DELHI Cabinet today gave green signal for setting up of a 200-bedded Hospital at Ambedkar Nagar, Dakshin Puri. It also gave its nod for formation of a new service "Delhi Health Services (Dental Surgeon Cadre)". .
While briefing the media after the Cabinet Meeting, Dikshit stated that the city government would set up a hospital at Ambedkar Nagar. At least 50per cent beds out of 200 would be earmarked for maternal child health care. The hospital would have training facility to train doctors and medical staff in the best practices of maternal and paediatric care.
The government has taken possession of a plot measuring 10,000 sq meter. It would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 149 cr within two years after start of work. The hospital would cater to the patients from Ambedkar and nearby localities.
