4.8 crore earmarked for artisan village
THE tourism department has earmarked Rs 4.829 crore to carry out modernization of artesian village near Dhauligiri.
The project components are an interpretation centre, children’s park, reception hall, lighting system, road connectivity. Tourism and Culture Minister Maheswar Mohanty laid the foundation stone for the project yesterday.
Among others, Pipili MLA Pradip Maharathy, Tourism Director Manoranjn Patnaik, Puri Zilla Parishad president Debaraj Baral, chairman of the Pipili block Yudhistir Swain and other officials were present.
The artisan village will help tourists buy artifacts.
