4.8 crore ear­marked for ar­ti­san vil­lage

THE tourism depart­ment has ear­marked Rs 4.829 crore to carry out mod­ern­iza­tion of arte­sian vil­lage near Dhauli­giri.

The pro­ject com­po­nents are an in­ter­pre­ta­tion cen­tre, chil­dren’s park, re­cep­tion hall, light­ing sys­tem, road con­nec­tiv­ity. Tourism and Cul­ture Min­is­ter Ma­h­eswar Mo­hanty laid the foun­da­tion stone for the pro­ject yes­ter­day.

Among oth­ers, Pip­ili MLA Pradip Ma­harathy, Tourism Di­rec­tor Manoranjn Pat­naik, Puri Zilla Par­ishad pres­i­dent De­baraj Baral, chair­man of the Pip­ili block Yud­hi­s­tir Swain and other of­fi­cials were present.

The ar­ti­san vil­lage will help tourists buy ar­ti­facts.
