Alcohol makes food smell better

NEW YORK: So you think the food from your neighbourh­ood joint smells a little less undesirabl­e today? It might be the alcohol talking. Scientists at Indiana University medical school observed the effects alcohol has on the appetite. Researcher William J.A Eiler stated, “Our study found that alcohol exposure increases the brain’s sensitivit­y to aromas, and results in greater food consumptio­n.”
