Yami Gautam to walk for Indian CoutureWee­k

Bollywood actress Yami Gautam is set to walk for designer duo Rimple and Harpreet Narula at the FDCI India Couture Week (ICW) 2016, starting from Wednesday.

The five-day fashion gala will take place at the Taj Palace hotel here and the designer duo will showcase on the third day.

Apart from Yami, who will soon be seen sharing screen space with superstar Hrithik Roshan in the upcoming film “Kaabil”, the designers have also styled the likes of names such as Nimrat Kaur, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

At ICW, Rimple and Harpreet will showcase their couture collection named Hiraeth, inspired by the late writer Khalil Gibran.

The collection will see a riot of motifs -- the French Paisley, Raj-era Manchester prints, Arabesque cartouches and flowering trellises, graphic geometrica­l forms from Uzbeki Suzanis, hunting scenes lywood for her creations, but she asserted that celebritie­s are “big fashion influencer­s”. “Bollywood has a huge reach in our country.
