TOKYO: Japanese newlyweds are taking their love a little further and risking their life to get a snap of themselves in their closest moment, so close, there is no room even for oxygen. Hal Kawaguchi, a Japanese photographer is cashing it in for his latest idea, where he puts newlyweds in a huge plastic bag after covering them with lubricants, and then, vacuum packs them. Though seriously life threatening and dangerous this has not deterred Japanese lovebirds from getting photographed in their moment of extreme closeness. Kawaguchi, aware of the risk involved, keeps paramedics on hand. Once the couple is packed, the photographer gets only four seconds to take the perfect picture. Hal’s pictures started as an art project but the craze has taken off and he now receives requests for couples who want a set of the extraordinary pictures. He started out to show, through such pictures, the closeness of people who are in love with each other. He carries out some practice shots without the bag at first. And then after careful preparation the final shot is taken in four seconds.
