In­dia News, In­dia’s lead­ing Hindi news chan­nel, cel­e­brated the unique Zindagi Na Mi­legi Do­bara (ZNMD) Award, bring­ing the spot­light on unas­sum­ing peo­ple who cre­ate ex­tra­or­di­nary suc­cess sto­ries through their work, on Tues­day, at the Siri fort Au­di­to­rium in New Delhi. The award ap­pre­ci­ated the ef­forts of in­di­vid­u­als who rose above their mun­dane sur­round­ings to turn sim­ple life ex­pe­ri­ences into some­thing ex­tra­or­di­nary.The award was pre­sented by the In­dian tele­com com­pany BSNL. Cat­e­gories in this award in­cluded BSNL Con­nect­ing In­dia, En­ter­tain­ment, Business, Aca­demics, CSR, Armed Forces, and Life­time Achieve­ment (Business). Manoj Sinha, the Min­is­ter of State for Com­mu­ni­ca­tions (In­de­pen­dent Charge), was the chief guest at the event. The event fea­tured live per­for­mances by Palak Much­hal, as well as stand-up co­me­di­ans Bharti Singh and Vi­jay Ish­war­lal Pawar. The win­ners of this award were care­fully se­lected by an es­teemed panel com­pris­ing mem­bers of the ed­i­to­rial board at iTV Net­work. Seen cheer­ing the re­cip­i­ents were Bol­ly­wood ac­tors Farhan Akhtar and Diana Penty. Among the award win­ners were wrestler Sushil Ku­mar(BSNL Con­nect­ing In­dia), chess player Ta­nia Sachdeva (sports), singer Palak Much­hal ( en­ter­tain­ment), and the man be­hind Su­per 30, Anand Ku­mar (Aca­demics).
